Why it matters
Your child may understand the lesson in class, but homework, practice questions, quizzes, tests, and exams reveal where the gaps still are. The hard part is getting clear, step-by-step support when they need it — while they are studying, doing homework, practising questions, or trying to understand what went wrong.
Ontario AI Math Tutor is being built for that learning cycle: helping students ask questions, understand unclear topics, practise similar problems, review mistakes, close gaps, and prepare for quizzes, tests, and exams.
One unclear homework or review question can turn study time into a long, frustrating evening.
They practise, but still feel unsure because some topics, methods, or mistakes are not fully clear yet.
You want to help, but it is not always clear where your child got stuck, what needs review, or what to practise next.
A good human tutor can make a difference, but weekly sessions can be costly — and students may need help long before the next session.
Why we're building this
I'm a Toronto parent. My daughter just finished Grade 9 in Ontario.
Math was becoming a source of stress. She was not a bad math student — she understood many concepts, but when a topic was unclear, she often tried to figure it out alone. Some gaps stayed unresolved until they showed up later on homework, quizzes, or tests.
So I set up an AI tutoring workflow where she could upload real homework questions, ask in plain language, review unclear topics, practise similar questions, and understand mistakes before the next test.
That experience became the idea behind Ontario AI Math Tutor: a focused AI learning coach that helps students ask questions, review unclear topics, practise similar problems, and prepare for quizzes and tests — so unclear questions and topics do not stay unresolved.

How it works
Students can start with a homework question, quiz result, test review, or unclear topic. They can ask by photo, voice, or text, then get step-by-step support to understand, practise, review mistakes, and prepare for the next quiz or test.
Students can upload a photo, screenshot, quiz result, test review, or describe a homework question or topic they want help understanding.
Students can ask by voice or text, explain what is confusing, or say exactly where they need help.
The AI math tutor explains the question or topic step by step, so students understand the reasoning — not just the answer.
Students can try new questions on the same topic, get feedback, and strengthen their understanding before quizzes or tests.
Students can upload quiz or test results, understand what went wrong, and practise the areas that need more work.
Parents can see what their child worked on, whether they are practising consistently, and which topics still feel difficult.
Help us shape the first version for Ontario Grade 9–12 families.
